CrossFit Kids / Teens

Our CrossFit Kids & Teens classes here at 5000 are about teaching kids the fundamental movements in a fun and positive environment. We believe that as they learn new skills it builds confidence in tackling the unknown once they step outside the gym walls. As kids & teens get older it is important that we recognise the peer pressure they are faced with, with an ever growing social media influence and help them build the strength and confidence to endure these pressures.  We encourage them to learn the skills of working as an individual and in team environments. Our classes include warm up, a skill set that varies between gymnastics, strength, endurance and power and follows with a workout and finished with an active game reminding us that fitness is fun. We are inclusive to all ages from 6-17years and from the not so active kids to the kids that are looking for additional strength & conditioning paired with their sport.

Adolescent dietary requirements can be tricky so we will get to your your child and if need be refer them onto our trusted dietician to help get the most out of your child’s food.
In reality, there is so much than can be done on a day to day level so teaching young athletes how to approach their food to fuel their body and recover better is the key. The more it stays simple, easy to understand, the more likely your child will stick to it.
Performance Analytics 
Most places will use expensive state of the art equipment to help test and assess your child’s ability we use a mixture of old school and new with our new age movement analysis for performance. Sometimes it just comes down to seeing ho the body moves to find the 1% that will help unlock your child’s potential.
